Cool report!

I was also in Amsterdam to play some of the events at the MCOP! I didn't play the ME though.

Were did you live? I lived at the American Hotel on the courtesy of no1poker. I think it was a very nice casino, and I am sure you will agree. Well maybe it is because every casino seems cool compared to that crap we have in Denmark!

Great trip report! The funny thing is that I live in The Netherlands and I have to go to the Amsterdam Central Station 5 times a week to go to school and I never did anything like that.

But hey, I'm 18... just a noob in this world!

I got a flight with frequent flyer miles and spent ~$1100. This included sharing a room at a hotel that was very nice. If I had to buy the plane ticket I'd imagine I'd have come in just under 2k. Staying in hostel would significantly decrease costs. Money could easily be saved elsewhere too, I wasn't afraid to spend money but I didn't just hemorrage it either.

The plane ticket would be the most expensive thing in any event. Weed is cheap, food is somewhat expensive but no big deal (similar to So Cal), hookers are cheap and beer is reasonable.
