Default “Brownie, you are doing a heck of a job!”

CNN report:

[ QUOTE ]
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Internal Department of Homeland Security e-mails -- requested by a House select committee investigating the government's response to Hurricane Katrina -- show infighting, gaps in communication and general frustration.
...
Ahead of Katrina coming ashore, Brown's deputy chief of staff, Brooks Altshuler, dismissed the idea of the White House creating an inter-agency crisis group to manage the government's response.
"Let them play their little raindeer games as long as they are not turning around and tasking us with their stupid questions," Altshuler said in an August 28 e-mail.
...
Later that same week, Brown's whereabouts were seemingly unknown.

[/ QUOTE ]

...Meanwhile, back at the ranch – and quite predictably :

Bush's job rating continues to drop

You don't expect the federal government to do everything, do you?

Keep talking about that old old story. You know the Democrats have nothing real to work with when they are still digging up old stories.

Psssst... Cyrus, you might want to investigate Bush's National Guard records. We need more threads on that.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but New Orleans is still suffering from the hurricane and the poor response to it.

And I'm willing to bet that the news story he posted wasn't old news. It was probably in today's paper.

But he's right, Cyrus, maybe we should be talking about the president's new approval ratings. But I guess the old old story of hurricane katrina had nothing to do with that...

If you ever bring up Bill Clinton again, you are a hypocrite.

I'm not a Democrat but what are you talking about? Did you not check the links?

Both stories (the FEMA e-mails surfacing at the Congressional hearing, the president's popularity slide) are in today's papers.
