Default super monday hand

Down to 28 players in Party super Monday. I have 25K at the 1500/3000 level. I post the 1500 small blind. A guy who has lost two pots in a row to go from 50K down to 17K opens allin for 17K from second UTG. I think he could have any ace, any pair, and some K-highs. I have AJo. What's my play?

With the range of hands you suggested, it would be a call.

I really doubt his range is that loose. I muck this here. You still have plenty of time to steal and/or catch a hand.

How strongly do you believe your read?

If your read is right you should call.

But.. I hate making my stand with AJ, it's just so easy to be dominated. It's hard online to know if someone is steaming, and an EP raise doesn't say Ax to me it says AK. I fold.

I would fold, and wait for a better spot. Also what is the BB like and whats his stack?

Easy call.

with 6XBB left UTG+1 can have a wide range of hands to open push.
There is the possibility that he is on tilt.
You are also short stacked
AJo is way ahead of most of his range of hands.

This is a pretty standard range of hands for an all in jam with less than 6x the BB. And if he's tilting a bit, the range could possibly be much wider. Easy spot to get your chips in IMO.

You're a slight favorite against that range of hands - about 55/45. This is a very slight +CEV situation given the odds you're getting. I don't mind pushing into a coin flip, but I normally don't want to call a coin flip when losing will seriously hurt me and the odds are marginal. I think I'd fold but it's close.

just curious, did he donk his chips away or get bad beat, or lose a coin flip? This could factor into my decision
