Time our for Trivia

Im wondering if anyone on this board ever watched this show. It was a sports trivia show on Cable TV about 15 years ago. Basically, viewers would call this 1-800 # and if you were lucky enough to get thru, the host would answer your call asking, "who's playing time out for trivia?".
then you'd give your name and city and he'd ask you some random sports question and if you got it correct he'd tell you what you won.

it was freaking weird. i watched it every time it was on (seems like it was on 2xs a week). i was only about 15 at the time. i would get thru a lot, like once every 4th show or so and i only missed a question once. i won all sorts of [censored]: a metal detector, an excersing bike, 300$ worth of tultex sweats (which was like 15 sets), a rocking TV set and a bunch of other random [censored].

seriously, it was the coolest show in the world and im wondering if anyone else ever saw it/played it.

i seem to remember the hosts' name being something like Tom Donohgue or something like that.

anyone anyone?

i have no particular reasons for wondering, just reliving the memories.
