Default Where to play downtown in Vegas

Going to Vegas in May and for some reason we are staying at the Fitzgerald. My question is, are there some good low stakes games (5/10 and down) being spread down there? In the past I've done all my Poker playing at Casinos on the strip.

Thanks,

Swede

I played at Binions for a couple of hours when I was in Vegas in January and it was silly how bad the other players were. I would say maybe 3 or 4 out of the ten at the table had any idea what they were doing. Only problem was I had a terrible run of cards. I mean terrible! I still managed to walk away with more money than I sat down with but I would have loved to have stayed longer! I Was with other prople though and had to leave!

Didn't play anywhere else downtown but I am sure the Binions thing was a direct result of people seeing poker on ESPN and wanting to play there because of that, even though they had no idea what they were doing!

I went downtown for there $150 tourney and won $250 playing 4-8 before the tourney for 3 hours. When I was there someone said the chips were new and they were definitely clean so that was a plus. (By the way that was mid-March).

Yup, that's where I spend most of my time downtown.

You should definitely hit up the El Cortez poker room. It's a real piece of work.
