Your post made no sense. What does last year have to do with anything? Plus, a ton of people thought Auburn was the #2 team in America, so they sure as hell weren't underrated.

Okay now that you say this year that makes it different. Half the SEC sucks but the other half is very good. UGA could have gone undefeated if shockely stayed healthy Auburn had a great year,LSU and Bama had very good years and the Gators and South Carolina were pretty good. The SEC is a quality confrence and is probaly the second best outside of the Big Ten so I don't think that's overrated.

LSU had a decent year, but they struggled against bad teams and in no way deserved to be #3.

I know that this has been overplayed but considering that Katrina happened they did pretty well.

I had been to 8 UGA games this year and this by far was their best performance of the year, it was pretty goddam sick. LSU looked like a total joke after the first five minutes of the third quarter, it was just pitiful.

LSU was and is incredibly overrated because there's a lot of inconsistent teams in the SEC (including UGA) that underperformed at the appropriate spots.
