Default Need Some Notebook Help

I've been shopping around for a notebook for a while now but I'm still relatively clueless to notebooks. Desktops I know but that knowledge doesn't always work for notebooks.

I go out of town frequently and looking for something to take with me so I can play poker. Not looking for anything special but I also can't deal with a el cheapo that's gonna be slow as balls. I ran across these 3 today and I was wondering if you could give me your opinions on them. Decent price? Decent computer? Can I do better?

Here's the links to them :

Aspire AS3003WLCi Notebook ~ $600

Aspire AS1691WLMi-XPH Notebook ~ $800

Compaq Presario Notebook PC (M2305NR) ~ $650

Any help is much appreciated on this. I leave this Tuesday for Kentucky but will be back Friday so I don't HAVE to pull the trigger right now but I'll be sent back out next Sunday then so it would be nice to get something soon.

Thanks,
Iggy!

I don't really know anything about laptops either, but i did notice that the first laptop has only a 90 minute battery, whereas the other two have 210 and 180 minutes. You could of course always buy a new battery, but i thought id just point that out.

Hi Ig,

Your primary consideration for a traveling poker playing laptop should be screen resolution, assuming you intend to multitable.

I do intend on multi-tabling but overlap doesn't bother me at all. Especially now with the smaller party tables, I don't need some 17" screen or anything like that.

for poker best budget buy would be dell 6000 series (15.4" widescreen) with at least 1600x1200 screen res (usual pick is the 1900x1200 WUXGA)

that way you can play 4 tables without overlap on almost all sites
