Default A thought on weak aces

I dislike 3-betting weak aces out of position, but I love doing it in position (in aggressive games).

For example, an okay-playing LAG with ASB~55 openraises in the CO. I'd usually fold A2s in the SB here, but I'll happily reraise on the button, even though theres an extra player to act behind me (this is clearly quite significant).

I can think of a decent number of reasons that apply moreso to weak aces than other hands. Can you??

I can think of a decent number of reasons to fold too.

unless he is weak tight, this hand will go to a showdown unless an A/K fall. I don't give credit to a 3 bettor on the button

1- Top pair potential
2- Showdown value unimproved if we choose

Anything else?

I can think of others but they are not related to our hand being A2s, they are related to our three bet like free card potential and extra folding equity potential on missed flops.

yeah it's all good points but you are not going to make MP fold his 55 headsup. And A2s vs 55 is a money loser unless the guy is weak tight.. I have a hard time folding 55 on the CO vs a button 3 bet unless an A or K fall...

I believe OP was taking about game specific situations, such as a LAggYBastage opening from the CO in a farily aggro game. These players have such a wide range of hands that they will open with that isolating them with a raise and knocking out the blinds in the process and having position through out the hand can be very beneficial.
