What would be really nice is if the differentiate the 30/60 by giving it the two chip small blind that it rightfully deserves.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, but aren't they just following B&M convention with this? I guess the new 20/40 is going to play like the 30/60, but with less "live ones"?

I think they made these changes to spite me.... every time I move up

The only B&M 30/60 I've played was at Bellagio, which uses two $10 chips for the small blind.

While I'm on the subject, let me just note that the Chicago 40/80 B&M game, which use $5 and $25 chips (!), is about the most retarded thing I've ever encountered.

I must be wrong - I've never played B&M , was sure I read somewhere that this was the case though. If it's normally 2/3 SB then this is pretty dumb of Party (no suprises there....)

The $15 is struggling already isn't it? Currently 11 ring-tables up in addition to the 3 6-handed tables. How many were there during the hey days?

lars

There were usually around 14-18 full ring tables during weekday mornings. The normal 3 shorthand and a smattering of 2-6 handed tables. Probably 28 tables not including the shorthand 3.

I like the two chip-three chip structure used in most live 30 games, but (AFAIK), no 30-60 game online uses this structure (Stars, UB, etc). Also, in the rare instances this games goes at Taj (very rare), it is a $15 SB. I think the $20 SB is only used when the casino has ordered $10 chips.

The taj actually tried to open a 40 game this weekend which would have been subject to the ridiculousness of using 8 and 16 $5 chips for betting. The game never got going though...(50/100 on sunday did)

As a Chicago player, this chip stucture struck me odd but I don't know what else they'd do. Do other places have $20 chips or something?

the hey day had tons. maybe it's being phased out and we'll only see 10/20, 20/40, and 30/60. if that's the case then they really should make the 30/60 a 2(4) chip SB.

[/ QUOTE ]

Its also playing much different IMO. Can't place my finger on it really.
