Default I\'ve said it before...daily tournaments at MGM

Ok, I've posted before how there will be daily tournaments at the MGM. I saw the signs tonight: Daily tournaments Mon-Thu at 11am. I was told the buy-in was $60(freezeout), and it was going to be limited to 60 players each day. I was told that the first tournament was going to be this coming Monday, the 23rd. Call the pokerroom, or check at the desk next time you're in there for confirmation...

No doubt MGM will do them right. Despite the few who criticize, MGM is still my favorite room in town.

If only they could get my comps right and actually get them on my card , i might actually start playing there again, what a joke whats the point in comping players if it doesnt work ?

They should teach their dealers better how to use the system!

I had cases were a person changed seat at the same table and was told there is no need to swipe the card again as he is still registered. That's nonsense as the rating at MGM is seat dependent.

Just be sure that they swipe your card, press the right button and put you "on" again after a break. If they make mistakes it's easy to correct them.

I hope they work out the kinks in that too. The good news is they'll write you a comp for whatever you want (at least they have always done it for me so far), when they make a mistake on your card.

They NEVER have my card right. But they always make it right.
Heck, I've even had em' write
me a $20 comp with NO problem from the floor. The floor there is VERY cool on dealing with the card tracking problems IMHO. They want to make it right. Just tell them what you want and from my experience (YMMV), they will do whatever it takes to make their regulars happy.

Like my friend Al Capone Jr, MGM is my favorite room in Vegas as well (though I do like some of the other rooms too).

Best Wishes

Howard

I will be in Vegas the 22nd-24th. Maybe I will have to swing by on Monday and be the inagural tournament winner. I will report back how the tournament structure is set up, how well it is run, etc.
