i like it all and yes the hero calls here.

---i dunno, i understand the limp reraise line, but it looks like this is going to be a headsup pot and therefore a limp reraise may let the guy get away from his hand too easily.

you don't think that some joker could be sitting on AQ here?

there are still a few hands you beat against a random idiot, but you may have lost this hand. if you limp reraise and he still calls and flops a set the end result would be the same.

Taj Mahal $50 + $15 tournament

Yikes!
And here I was complaining about party raking rebuys and add-ons.....
That is just sick.

Oh yeah, the juice is crazy, but at least the structure is semi-decent. I'd rather play the $100 + $20 that has the same structure, for obvious reasons, but I was only in town this night and I felt like playing a tourney.

I appreciate all of the thoughts and comments coming so quickly. I have some thoughts/explanations/etc for what went on in the hand, but I'm going to wait a bit more to hear some more discussion before tainting it with my additional input.

What makes you think Varkonyi would play like that?

I don't think you can... which is why I probably would not have check-raised and committed myself to a spot where I am kind of lost. Not saying I would have check-folded the turn either. But I don't there is nothing wrong with playing a decent hand defensively out of position.

I dont care whether you call or not. I want to know why you didnt raise pre-flop and why you didnt re-raise pre-flop?

Having screwed up the prior two streets in at least two out of three possible ways (I dunno, you pick), go ahead and call this and hope you beat his AQ/QJ rather than lose to A6 soooted.

I see a boat on the river.

I think your choice is to call and rebuy, or save your chips and rebuy after you fold.

Or go home and watch Varkonyi slow play his aces on TV.
