Was my turn push fishy?

After this hand, others at the table read me the riot act for "sucking out". I figured I had 15 outs with the OESD, flush draw, and nut straight flush draw. With 45 unseen cards, that's 3:1. Pot is giving me close to 5:1. I'm also pot commited at this point so wtf.

Should I have checked it down to the river? Or pushed on the flop? Or folded PF?

fold preflop, way too much of your stack to invest here. If you accidently call preflop, push on the flop.

Most likely I'm pushing the flop with a draw this strong. You're a favorite over most hands here. It's the action from AK that's fishy, calling with a cold gutshot. Nice play.

His call of your raise on the flop was flat wrong. He should have folded or reraised there.

This would be a good play if you where big stack trying to control the table, If you had a deeper stack that is. I really dont like it with 17bb. When where the blinds going up to 200?

With the Call I would 100% push the flop.....

How does this guy call every street with a unimproved AKos ? I think that should have been the subject of conversation at the table, lol.

I think one mistake you made was in your stack management. Once you raise the flop, you've only got t790 left in your stack, about 1/5 of the pot. There's no question that it's going in the middle, so get it there when you still have some folding equity.

I'd have folded preflop. Your stacks just not big enough to splash around with 9Ts here hoping to get the flop you did. If you'd been in the big blind or if you were on the button and there were several callers then I wouldn't mind so much.

I'd have pushed the flop instead of minraising it, because you're probably ahead and a min raise pot commits you anyway.

As far as getting criticized for your line goes, I wouldn't worry too much. The villain with AK misplayed it on every street and your line was certainly better than his.

I hope you didn't point it out. No reason to educate a table full of complete morons.

I get read the riot act rather frequently (sometimes for good reason [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]), but I almost never say anything in reply. If I do say something, it's usually something along the lines of "you gotta watch out, I'm crazy" and then I hammer somebody the next time I pick up a real hand. It's a beautiful thing. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

As for your line, I agree with the others: Fold preflop. If you play, raise all-in on the flop. If you get to the turn the way you did, pushing is certainly correct.

about 6-4 favorite, 4-6 preflop.

DVC,

Fold pre-flop. This is too speculative given your stack size, don't you think?

As for the flop, why leave the t700 behind? I would just go all-in. Checking it down it silly.
