This format requires a bit of math to determine a winner but at least you won't have two favorites going head to head in an early round like the other format.

This would probably be a better way to initially seed the contestants than how I did things. But it's too much of a pain in the ass to set up a poll with some 130 questions, each with ten choices, just to determine what 64 should qualify for the poll.

Possibly, but you don't have to do 10 choices. Actually entering in the numbers 1-10 for the 16 items I had didn't take that long using Tab and the keypad. The whole poll took <5 minutes.
