How good is your limit hold em? By Byron Jacobs and Jim Brier. I just read this book a couple days ago and love it. The quiz format is awesome and really gets you to use reads more and its amazing to see how one little read could change the hand from a raise or a fold. Best recent book that I've read: How good is your limit hold em. Best book I've read so far: Small Stakes Hold Em.

Yes I just ordered How good is you limit hold'em .. If Ed Miller gives it five stars, it really is a must have

It really is hard to compare some of the above book, But Harringstons effort is really really fantastic ...

Vol 1 is imho the best source for nolimit playing whether it is cash games or early stages tourneys

and

Vol 2 and Harringtons inflection points chapter is gold (learning to being able to push all in with any two cards in low M situations have won me many SNG's and a couple of MTT's)

Funny thing though ... after learning to play very aggressive in the later stages of tourneys made it easier to beat limit cashgames (and understand Ed's points in SSHE)

"Little Green Book"

While I thought Harrington's books were well written and had some great concepts, some of the info reinforced some of my bad habits.

Gordon's book helped me make some of the changes I needed to improve my SnG and MTT play.

The good ones:
SSHE (FL)
Phil Gordons little green book (NL)
Harrington 1 (NL)

Decent:
Weighing the odds (FL)
Harrington 2 (NL)
SS2 (only read limit and NL hold em, I like the limit chapter most)

Cards by Maxwell. (this is a novel)

I thought "Weighing the odds in Hold'em" was good too.

Has this been confirmed via a pointless poll?
