I am usually in the camp of "raising with overcards when donked is overused" but there are lots of hands the limper could have that we would not mind getting out. Would any of you have called two cold on the flop with T9?

Anyway, in this spot I don't hate a flop raise nearly as much as you guys seem to. But I flat call here plenty as well.

In a made hand vs made hand confrontation, then innocuous cards are certainly a good reason to fold after showing considerable strength.
However, you should always consider the possibility of busted draws that put a little action on the flop, went passive on turn and bluff raised the river.
Here 67 is a fairly good postflop candidate, and 67s is playable by many MPs preflop. I understand that a bluff river raise with a missed draw is not a typical play, but it does happen regularly.
Besides, the number of made hands that typically raise the river are quite limited.
I think it is closer than what you think.

If I had 109 in that spot I'd probably three bet it.

I am wondering, as part of a balanced river strategy.

What ballpark percentage of the time would you check behind?

I say 2 of 10 or so. Thats a guess.
