Default Party \"Lucky Hands\" Promotion

This is just great - the weekend I go to Vegas. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make do.

[ QUOTE ]
From Friday, the 21st of January, until Sunday, the 23rd of January, we will be running a special promotion: Lucky Hands 2-3-5

Every 20,000th hand will be a lucky hand but only if dealt on tables of the following limits:

$2 / $4
$3 / $6
$5 / $10

Each person playing these hands will win $100, while the winner of the hands will win $500. The promotion will run from 6 PM EST until Midnight on each of the three days. Don’t miss it!

I take it 5/10 6max counts as well?

Sorry to be a party pooper but you got almost no EV here. Assume 8 people average per winning table and 20% of active table are 2/3/5 tables, then the EV is $1200/8/20000*.2= $0.0015 per hand. Change the assumptions how you want, anything reasonable is well under a penny a hand.

Such negativity

Its free money, for doing something I would most likely be doing even without the extra cash thrown in

I wish they would encourage the fish to play 15/30 instead of the low limits...

well, the vast majority of their players are 0.5/1, so send 'em up to 2/4 is a lot easier than getting a plyaer to go up to 15/30 with their $1000 buyins.

Amen to that! I think I'm starting to sound like a Party shill, but they've got promotions up the wazoo, they're encouraging fish to play higher limits, they have great software (in MY opinion if no one else's), and their cashier system seems to work quickly and predictably.

What's there to complain about?!

EDIT: Other than the rake.
