Re: Extraction technique with the absolute nuts...?
Probably, which is why he weak led, probably. But I was 100% certain that he had a flush or a straight and I didn't know it was second nut flush and I knew he was very unlikely to lay down any flush for any bet so why hope he 3-bets when I can just get it all in there myself and he's probably not calling much with the straight which is why he led weakly to fold to a raise or something. This hand was from last night, by the way, not like I dug up some old clunker.

Re: Extraction technique with the absolute nuts...?
yea i guess if he doesnt lay down any flush thats good
with reads its good but w/o i think its just wishful thinking ... sorta like pushing all-in pf over a re-raise with AA hoping he has KK |

Re: Extraction technique with the absolute nuts...?
I would push all in with AA against a re-raiser almost every time at NL400. Can't remember the last time I saw someone lay down a hand preflop after re-raising. My assumption is that they will ALWAYS call after re-raising preflop and I really don't think I've been wrong about that more than once or twice in the past several months (and that was maniacs most likely re-raising 76o of something.) And in this hand I had no read other than the fact that he checked the flop and then called my bet very quickly. I had never played with the guy before.
Back on track, I think hero should raise the turn bigger and then push the river. |
