My opponent is loose and calls a lot, on the turn I was trying to value bet against second best hands and draws and give myself a chance to get away from the hand. The pot odds make it hard to fold but I don't think this opponent would all in on the turn unless he had me beat and a larger bet might push him off some weaker hand I'd want a call from. Maybe the same size bet but only with the plan of calling a raise (my read was definitly not rock solid)? It's just, I feel like I've been playing my AK too strong lately...

I think this play of AK is fine. If he comes over the top on the turn after calling the flop bet that might set off some warning bells in my head.

Looks good to me, the board at this point is about as friendly as it can be for you. But if "calling is the new raising," I guess his flat-call on the flop could be scary. What do you do if he min-raises your turn bet? Do you give him credit for 77 or 55? I don't like AK out of position either...

Fine. A checkraise would be fine too. i'd be more inclinded to c/r the turn if you were vs utg/aggro, you don't hate it getting checked through on the turn.

He called $200 bet on the turn and then we both checked the river which was the 7h I believe, he had JJ.

i dont like the reraise to 90 here preflop. if youre going to reraise id make it something like 150 to give him a chance to fold. hes certainly going to call the extra 60 and by raising so small you put yourself in this position. if he calls the 150 and you flop your hand, at least you are far more committed to the hand and if you go to the felt here you are far more likely to have the winner than in the previous scenario.

Raising to 90 puts you in a position where you are going to see a potsized bet on the turn.
