Default Prizes

We’re trying to implement new and exciting ways to reward our players. Whether it’s for a promotion, tournament etc. it’s always interesting to have a bit of variation.

You'll notice some items listed below which are things that we’d like to offer and/or are currently offering. We’d like to know what it is that you would like to see in terms of prizes. Please vote as to your preference:

These are just a few of our general ideas and you’re welcome to PM us if there’s something you think we should have that isn’t on the list. Thanks for your time all.

Cash is always good.

The other stuff (hats, jackets and poker chips) would be great prizes for freerolls or signup bonuses. If I'm investing cash, I want to win cash.

I would like to see things like big LV comps, motorcycles, vacation packages, etc. Depends on the event obviously. And there should always be the option to take cash value instead of the item to satisfy those who are purely $$ oriented.

The other prizes are moot to me. A prize should be a special treat in some way.

Poker chips are a great idea, and Id love a top quality clay set (dont even offer thos plastic clay composite things). Money is cool, but the chips last longer.

I need another hat like I need another hole in the head

Someone visit the "redeem your UB points" link recently?

As to answer the question, sporting events like the superbowl or the final four would be the nuts. Other than that, poker stuff is cool. Get the old 10-20 back and that itself will be a reward.

Things other than cash are good IF

Their street value is greater than what the equivalent cash prize would be.

i.e. if you can buy poker chips cheap in bulk and give them away as prizes then great SO LONG AS *we* get the discount, rather than you just making a bit more profit.

just an idea:

why not give away a set of TGC engraved chips to all people who signup with over x no. of dollars?
just think of all those TGC engraved chips lying around forever and ever in people's homes...

Tim

p.s.: I agree with the other poster. If they aren't GOOD QUALITY poker chips then nobody wants them.

p.p.s: if you take up the TGC engraved idea then I want a free set for suggesting it

Coincidence I guess, don't know what link you mean. Not that my ideas are trail-blazers.

UltimateBet offers a range of toys when you redeem your UB points. You get 1 point (approx) for each $1 in rake that is taken off a table that you're on. Each hour of 3-6 is worth about 60 UBP. One year of 40 hours a week three-tabling the 3-6 will win you a 4-night vacation at the Bellagio, for example. One day of 3-tabling the 3-6 wins a baseball cap.

I think chips and merchandise are good ideas. I think a lot of internet fish like to show off their online poker skills; I've seen enough jackets and caps at the larger cardrooms to justify that. Personally, I've already got a nice set of clay chips, and I think the cash prize 'costs too much.' Event tickets sounds the most appealing to me; a 4-day vacation to Vegas, entry into some tournament, and show tickets. Or maybe a trip to Roulettenberg?
