Default Another 99 what to do preflop hand.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Table has VP$IP in the low 40s.
Three players to my left are the main reason as they are all around 50% and cold calling raises often.
UTG is 16/1/4.0 after 73 hands.

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, Hero calls, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises</font>, MP2 calls, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO caps</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG folds, Hero folds...

I'd be calling this dude. We're getting 13:3(?) on our call right now with 3 other players behind us with money in the pot yet to call the cap! This is an autocall.

It looks like you're going to be getting 6:1 on a call. If you hit a set you'll be collecting a ton of bets on future streets. Call.

I thought we raised 99 to shorten the field? If players are just going to coldcall, isn't limping correct here?

If they're calling everything then you have a preflop equity edge, right?

I had the same thought. Playing this 4 handed OOP is likely going to be tough.

I would call, getting an immediate 14:3 and a probable 19:3.

I wouldn't be especially happy with the situation that had developed, though.

I have yet to find a situation where I don't see a flop with a pocket pair after I've voluntarily put money in.
