He could have also set the Lakers team record I think it is 71, but not sure.

This is correct. I'm sure. I don't think he should have played in the 4th though. It's not like it was a 10 point game and Dallas could have come back, the Lakers were up by 30 after the 3rd quarter.

I'm a lakers fan who hates Kobe and I don't understand why he took himself out. He was in the middle of an amazing game, he had the chance to set a record. Even though it was a blow out, you don't pull yourself out when you have the oppurtunity to do something great.

He makes no sense to me.

It depends on your definition.

Saw him on PTI and SC yesterday. Basically, he said the game was in hand, and he thinks individual stats are for individual sports, like golf and tennis. He said the scorefest just happened that way. They asked him if it was a message to Shaq, and he said no. FWIW.

Like I said, FWIW. Kobe rarely tells it like it is, and I'm not a fan of his. I think he's trying to restore his golden boy image. Everyone knows Kobe's a ball hog. But who else is gonna score on that team? Odom? Brown? No one disparages Chamberlain or Baylor for setting their records. Hey, if he's hot he's hot. I just hope he gets bitchslapped in Miami by D-Wade.

FWIW, I don't believe him. The way Phil explained it at the post-game press conference was that Kobe basically wanted to go back in and asked Phil what he thought. Phil said he told him it's a 30+ point game and then Kobe agreed to not go in.

I think Kobe's a POS, but had I been at the game, I would definitely have wanted him to go in and see somebody score 80 points or so.
