My old roomate made this a couple times when we had no meat and didn't want to buy groceries. It's not as bad as you think if you choose the right helper. Lasagna is a good choice. As long as you don't over cook it, you'll be content.

why not use 1/4 pound bison for helper and 3/4 for recipe? or any combination thereof that makes the most sense.
