10$ free at stars if you can help me before 10:15

I just reinstalled Windows XP.

The wireless icons on my computer show that i am connected to the internet, but i can't get Internet explorer to actually work.

Other computers work on the wireless network.

can anyone help me?

I will cross post this in computer technical help, but traffic isn't too heavy there.
