Default The Sirio Challenge Database

Poker Tournament Tracker

I wanted to start a new thread to get some feedback on the MySQL database I posted in the Sirio tracking thread. There have already been a number of people registering.

Some changes that I'll make but have not had time to yet, and will not til this evening:

1. Will add restrictions so people can't put incorrect data into some parts of the database, that would screw up totals and averages.
2. Will add some instructions on the bottom.
3. Will seperate Buyin and Rake for a tournament
4. Will add a tournament date
5. Will add Hours Played
6. Will add more sites (Please put the ones I need to add in this thread)
7. Will see if I can figure out some sort of ROI type calc.

Any other additions and subtractions? I do not think I will do anything to differentiate between regular and satellites, as that just gets too complicated for now. Regarding rebuys, I think just note that its a rebuys.

Oh, and do we want a "bustout hand" text box for a description of the bustout, or a link box where you would put a link so people could link to say pokerhand.com for where you could post your bustout hand (My favorite option), or have both?

Thoughts and opinions please.

Nick

I don't like a bustout hand box. I'd have to write, "so I called with 22 on a QJT97 board because I put him squarely on A5." too often.

Seriously though, it detracts from the mathematical sexiness of the page.

I'll play along but i dont play that many MTT's atm. Are we supposed to register only ITM finishes?

also, maybe add a link for the HH if they want to put it up.

I hope not, I think it would really defeat the purpose of it.

The bustout box is ok, you can just write AA-59 in 7KJ; or AA-KK BF. I would like to see it.

One other quick thing. Please feel free to put tourneys in there, but I'll wipe it clean for the start of the challenge. As for using it long term, I most likely will, and others are free to as well. Who knows where development of it will go.

If you are in the challenge you are supposed to register ALL your results.

Hi Chief:

Other sites: Bodog, Pacific, and maybe an "other" option

I don't like the tournament ID field, in some sites is a PITA to know this number, I think the date and hour (EST) would suffice.

Instead of tournament name, Game; and then the options NLH, LH, 7CS, 7SH/L, OMA, OH/L and other

% of finish should be calculated automaticlly and not a required field

$Won should be prize, or at least be clear enough so nobody makes a mistake deducting the entry fee from the prize

We need to do something to not allow fake posters messing with the database, I think for this challenge, there should be a time window to register as a user with the ability to input records (maybe tomorrow morning), if somebody forgot to do it, then he should send you a PM. And of course, you can always view the database as a guest. It would be nice to have the list of the registered users by the start of the challenge.

By the way, Is there enough space in the database to register all the tournaments played by Colson?

Terrific job Chief !! I think this put you ahead in the mod of the year award race
