Basic Rakeback v. Bonus Question

If I sign up for a rakeback at an affiliate site, can I still clear the bonuses I read about on the other boards or Bonuswhore.com I am very new and it seems like I may have to enter a promotional code at sign up to get rakeback. Doesn't the bonus also require a different code. Do the codes from the affiliate sites include the bonus?

generally...

rakeback/affil codes are for when you first signup/open the account. depo codes are for when you make the depo.

also, most signup/affil codes up with a 1st time depo bonus attached to them.
