Default Working on my overcard play -- pretty standard I think.

I don't have any great reads on the BB in this hand, other than observed hands. In those hands he's a 31/7/1.7 guy over 3100 hands, so in general we could say he's maybe a smidge loose and passive, but nothing drastic.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Turn: (3.20 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Are you calling a non-club blank on the river?

Against an unknown, if I'm checking a hand with as much showdown value as you had, I'm calling the river.

Then again, 1) I suck, and 2) I don't play 5/10.

On a board like that, I'm inclined to bet the turn since, depending on how loose BB is, there are tons of draws he'd peel with.

On the river, with that particular river card, it's tough to put Villain on a hand you beat. The pot is small, so it's an easy fold IMO.

Sometimes I Like to bet the turn, you get fold equity, and also you can check through on the river for a showdown if hes drawing. You can also bet again on the river if you get an A or K. I pretty much vary between the turn bet and the turn check though, both work in my world of poker theory.

Picking up the draw makes me want to take the free card, but villain is slightly loose, and the board is pretty drawy, so I do think that maybe betting is better.

Don't you think you're getting checkraised on the turn here fairly often?

There are lots of river cards I was calling a bet on, but I think my folding equity on this board is minimal, and I'd rather see what the river card is before determining that I'd like to put another bet in.

He's slightly loose, not uber loose (in fact, not that much looser than most of us), and I think it's unlikely that he checks this turn intending to fold very often, and I don't think I'm ahead all that often, but usually have 7-10 outs.
