Is there a better way to play this?
Me $400
Button $2600 I am playing in a 2/5 NL game. I am 2nd from the button and first to act with 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I make my standard raise to 15 and I am called by button with big and small blinds folding. The flop comes back A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I make a bet of 20 and am quickly called. The turn brings a 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I check button bets 40 and I fold. I really cant put him on any draws so he must have an ace, right??? |

Re: Is there a better way to play this?
The button just came from a broken game with a huge stack. I was only involved in about 10-15 hands. He had not played many hands keep complaining about shitty cards and ask for new set-up about 3 hands before this one.

This is pretty standard. You might wanna bet the whole pot on the flop.

Re: Is there a better way to play this?
In 2/5, I would open for $25 every time. Generally, people open for amounts as they relate to the blinds, but in a game like this that is irrelevant, because $15 means nothing to most people. I would recommend openiing for $25 w AA, connectors, anything - Make people pay if they want to play with you.
