Default Getting to the bottom of empire account closures

Let's try to get to the botton of this. Would love to hear from the people who have had accounts closed at empire.

1) Do you have accounts at multiple party skins?

2) If you play at multiple party skins, which site do you also have accounts at?

3) Do you only play at empire when bonuses are offered?

4) If you only play at empire during bonuses, what limits do you typically play?

5) Do you have more then one account at empire?

Let's see if any trend emerges from this....

I cant speak for someone who has had thier account closed but I have ONE account at Party, Empire, PokerNow(as of today), InterTops, and MultiPoker. None of them have rakeback but I only play at them when there is a reload and I was able to log into my Empire account. Also, when there is a reload I pretty much play strictly $1/$2 and $25 NL

7a) (very important, imo) Do you have rakeback set up with an affiliate?
7b) Did your affiliate get his rakeback axed in the recent affiliate crack down?

good follow up questions... im trying to find the common denominator of those who have received the email. though... now that i think about it maybe this thread would be more helpful as a poll because i dont think many would answer 5 truthfully in an open forum. if someone were to construct a poll (hint hint) be sure to include a "i have not gotten an account closure email from empire" with each question so people dont speed through the poll just to see the results. who wants to construct the poll??

I wouldn't be surprised if the common factor would be that players using the Empire 500 bonus got their accounts killed.

It was a $500 sign up bonus that the bonus whores used and abused.

I have a little theory that they canned all the users that are costing them money.

people who are terminated should look at their rake paid and compare it to how much bonus they've pulled. (there are other ways to measure rake such as total rake/# players I know, who knows what they might use)

in my 10k hands at .5/1 at party I've had $360 taken from my pots for rake. Pretty obvious that I can clear a lot more than 3.6 $100 bonuses in 10k hands.

FWIW: in addition to those 10k hands I have another 10k with about $600 raked from those; the $1000 total is definitely more than I've whored. They're making money off me, and all my accounts seem fine. I play a lot more than the minimum on my accounts.

I think the simplest explanation is they're losing money on some of us. They don't really have any other choice but account closure for people with a continued hit and run pattern, do they? If they raise the raked hand requirement the users just go somewhere else, even people like me who would have stayed way past the requirements anyways.
