Default New to rebuys, is this standard?

I figure his range of pushing hands here is pretty big, and my ace high is probably good.

I'm not sure that anything is standard in the rebuy period. It's a time to build your stack, and if you're willing to take some risk and get out your wallet, you can justify almost any play.

I don't think anything is wrong with this play, and when he berates you for being a fish, you say "rebuy bitch".

It was a turbo rebuy. During the rebuy period.

I'd say any PP and/or any ace is within "range". Then again I've seen people just push any two over and over until they get a 4X-8X the original stack.

He's only got 4xBB, rebuy period or not, so he could have almost anything. The only thing that makes me hesitant is the BB behind me could reraise and then I'm going to be compelled to call with a hand that is likely dominated. If I'm the BB and my call ends the action, I call every single time.

I think from the SB with the short-stacked BB behind, you might be proper to reraise all in to scare the BB out of calling. Heck, even if he reraises all in after you call, you're gonna have to call, so you might as well try to make him fold hands like A7 or A8 by reraising all in. If you aren't comfortable pushing all in, you should just fold.
