Default Jockey Club in Vegas?

Anyone stay here before? I'm looking at staying there for the WSOP and wanted to know if it's worth the avg nightly rate of $100, or if there are better places to stay. I'm renting a car, so I don't really need to stay in a casino. I'll be playing in the WSOP during the day, so I'm not sure how much time that will leave me for ring games...

All help appreciated.

its not a bad place -- easy to get in and out -- bar at the top is nice and gives a good view of the strip -- you should be fine

Do you know if this is being torn down as part of the development of the "Cosmopolitan"?

Wasn't the Boardwalk built relatively recently? That said, it didn't look like it measured up from the street.

The Jockey Club will be torn down to build the Cosmopolitan. But, that's the only place that will go. I'd be surprised if it's still open in the summer. But, then again, I don't know the Cosmo's time schedule.

The Boardwalk will eventually be torn down to build a different project.
