Default What was this guy thinking?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls, <font color="#CC3333">Maniac raises</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, <font color="#CC3333">Maniac caps</font>, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (16.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Maniac bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, <font color="#CC3333">Maniac 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, UTG+1 calls, Maniac calls.

Turn: (14.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Maniac bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, UTG+1 folds, <font color="#CC3333">Maniac 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, Maniac calls.

River: (22.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Maniac bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 24.25 BB

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Maniac has Kd 6d (flush, ace high).
Hero has Ah Ac (three of a kind, aces).
Outcome: Maniac wins 24.25 BB. </font>

It would have been nice to see Jd or 4d on the river. Not asking for advice.. just posting to show what I get to lose to on .50/1 limit. I'll chalk this one up to variance.

He's a maniac just like you said! Maybe it's his favorite hand. Maybe he just like to gambooool!

I lose 2-3BB more than you in this hand since I figure he has JJ.

Bro it happens. Deal with it, move on, and next time post hands that are of value to others, not just your own feelings.

There are bad players out there, and that is why the game is so good.

Read AaronW's post, save it to your favorite threads, it is a good one.

His name wasn't hollowman or something with hollow in the name, was it? Had the same thing happen to me except the board paired, and the guy and I capped every street. The guy had 9 high, thought he had at least a flush or trips. If his name had hollow in it, this guy raises no matter what he is holding.

I hate to come across as harsh (which means I am about to say something jerky), but this is really the type of noise post we don't need on the board. This hand is totally uninteresting and really is only a bad beat story (and not a very compelling one since he has 9 outs twice). I regularly come across players that raise any ace or any 2 suited and then play their pair of aces and flush draws like the stone cold nuts.

These are exactly the conditions under which you shouldn't post a hand.

Just a bit of posting advice: it's generally considered bad form to exchange real screennames in the forums, at least for third-party players (a lot of us post under one of our real screennames, I mean). If you want to have the discussion about whether you played the same guy, do it off-forum.

The name I posted wasn't entirely his name, (it had numbers at the end), which wouldn't have given anyone his screenname. I just posted it in a general format to see if it was possibly the same guy. Also, I've notice that alot of people post screenshots which have 9 3rd party screennames on it, wouldn't this fall in the same category that I did? If I broke a rule, Sorry, didn't know!!

obviously, his pattern mapper showed that he would win this hand and that's why he played it so aggressively
