Set on monotone flop
Villain is 82/0/1.4 over 40 hands with a tendency to cold call with any ace and any pocket pair. He had autocall on here and cold called incredibly fast, he had done this with the other 3 pairs I had seen him showdown. I feel that I should have smelled set and extracted a couple more bets, but with only KK and TT being possible I slowed down. The board also got really dangerous with 4 to a straight and the flush already on board. How standard is this?

Re: Set on monotone flop
I think you were right to slow down. I'm not even sure I'd raise the turn with 4 to a straight. It's good you got a fortunate result. It's about the only hand you beat that he would play this way, since your read is that he's a caller, not a raiser. If he had something like 2 pair, he'd be calling you down.

Re: Set on monotone flop
I usually smooth call the turn, and yeah I'd call the river

Re: Set on monotone flop
Calling the turn is probably stronger (please don't post results). TT is the only likely hand you are significantly ahead of, and the 9 completes a straight draw.
