Dawg- Anyone with this as pat of his name is really bad. If his name Big Dawg he's a really poor player, or worse BIGDAWG

But DOG is OK, right? Like spyDOG?

If not, maybe that's why I suck so bad.

I like to go into the 100 NL with $69. This makes you look like a jackass (I would think somebody was a jackass if they did this). Then you can usually get some action by overbetting and make a quick double up or big score that will put you around $100.

Are you saying EDAWG was a bad player?

You obviously don't have to give as much weight to screens if you take notes, etc.

...but anyone with 420 in the name usually is not that concerned about winning. People with "Vegas" in their name usually aren't that good.

I'm surprised at the number of decent to good players that kind of tip their hand a little with their screen names. There's one guy called something like no_leaks. Unless the guy's a plumber, you think it was a guy who works on his poker game (and his stats confirm this).

Dog is definitely ok. I once didn't raise a guy after raising pf and betting the flop when I had top two (AK) and was bet into on the turn because he was dog and not dawg. Turned out he had what I thought he had, the nut straight. Also GA DAWG is ok, thats the way its supposed to be.

I did forget the 1337 speak names. Anyone using 3 for e etc is probably pretty bad. Also probably anyone who does this anDy tHE GrEAt. I also forgot about rounder names, but somebody mentioned that.

But now with PT I really couldn't care less about screen names unless I have no data on the player.

One of the tightest players I play against is named something like VPIP90PFR70. I definitely agree with the poker name theory. Anybody that wants to let you know that they are aware of poker slang is probably a beginner.

Haha, this is similar to what I do. I always bet $X.69, never a whole dollar amount.

What's the opinion on people that use a cryptic string of numbers and letters, such as KD722R9201?I usually find them to be pretty tight solid players.
I'm TDP12212012 on Party.Anyone got any stats on me?I don't have PT.
