Default what cheap laptop should I get?

I have used laptops only occasionally in the past and I'm thinking about getting one. All that it would be used for is web browsing, email checking, and possibly poker. If I used it for poker, I'd probably be playing a MTT or two ring games at a time. If I plan on running pokertracker with this, then what minimum requirements should I go for? My price range is around $300 shipped, so I'm looking for something old. Thinkpads look good (900mhz, 256MB SDR RAM, 20GB for $280 shipped) but I don't know if this will be enough to do what I want to do. I don't care about overlapping if I have two tables running at the same time.
