Default What is considered a good ROI? What is an average ROI?

First off thanks to those who explained to me how to calculate ROI. I apologize for not looking at the FAQ first.
Also thanks to SlimPickens for the picture of his Rabbit!

Anyhow, My ROI is about 12.5%. I'd love to get an idea of what a great ROI is and what an average ROI is.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like you owe another apology, my man. This subject is also covered in FAQ -- comeon.

Over how many Sngs? Thats the real question. Even if youve played 2,000 Sngs, your true ROI is only +- 8 percentage points from 12.5%.

the wiki at poker.wikicities.com (scroll to bottom and click on the sngs link) answers this and many other questions

there are a few answers

a) anything >0 is good, -10% (if rake is 10% of buyin) is average

b) 20-30+% for 10/1 is good, 15+% is great for 50s, anything 5+% for 200s is good, especially with about $4/tourney in rakeback

as for ur 12.5%, unless it's over 1000+ sngs, it could vary a lot from your true roi, so take it with a shaker of salt

Bongo is a thrifty rabbit. He clips coupons. I post a picture of him when I feel a thread is depressingly pointless.

Like they said, it really depends on the buyin. I would say at lower levels 20% should be a very lofty yet not at all unreasonable goal.
