Kind of weird selection of players, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Antonio Esfandiari, Jennifer Harman, T.J. Cloutier, Chris Ferguson, Robert Williamson, Russ Hamilton, Yosh Nakano, Michael Mizrachi, Tony Le, Eric Cloutier, and Mimi Tran. Steve Dannenman, Derek Barch, Aaron Kanter, Andrew Black, Scott Lazar, Daniel Bergsdorf, Brad Kondracki, and Mike Matusow.

Those are the players who qualified--they weren't invited, they placed high in either a circuit event or made the WSOP ME FT.

Not sure how TJ made it--presumably through one of the circuit events.

Surprisingly, they didn't mention that Jesse Martin is participating in this prestigious event.

The article made it sound like the people that qualified and the people invited were one in the same. Since it's a freeroll, I'd think that they invite a ton of people, but only some show up.

There are no invitations, it's whomever finished in the top 20 in points at the 5 Circuit events, and the 2005 WSOP ME final table.

Cloutier had a strong showing at one of the WSOP events...notice Negreanu had a miserable WSOP and is absent from the list...

Shame that the WSOP player of the year was apparently not invited

EDIT: Regardless of the criteria, it's still a shame
