not to mention the fact that 2BB/100 is not the same as 2BB/hr (particularly at the 10-player tables).

Well, I play 5/10 full and I'd be making well over $100k a year if I could put in the hours. Currently making just over 2BB/100h.

4 tables = $80/hour.
40 hours per week = 2080 hours per year. Now let's subtract about 200 or so (for holidays etc).

1880 x $80 = $150400

This is all well and good except for that little 40 hours per week part.

I think rakeback at a 5/10 6 max is equivlant to nearly 8 dollars an hour per table. So with your 1880 hours you would bring in another 60K in rakeback if I calculate right.

The answer to your question is that 100K a year is a joke in this game if you're willing to put in real time. However, I would guess only five or so players are pulling this in, because anyone good enough to make 100K a year in the 5-10 game can easily make more playing 10-20.

I think that's irrelevant.

*sigh* That's one of the most idiotic mistakes I've ever made

Am I correct then in assuming that 5/10 6 max is better than 15/30 for Rb per hour? 15/30 is around $4.35-$4.50 per hour per table, no? If 5/10 6 is $8 an hour (I thought closer to 7?) per table, it's something my father would rather have me do than 15/30, lol...funny but it really is a factor. My father thinks poker is gambling but Rb is fine .

Edited to change from x to Rb.

Default The crack cocaine of internet poker....

The 5/10 6er can be brutal. Definitely not for the weak of heart or mind.

Good luck all,

Fitz

When properly bankrolled, the swings really aren't that bad. You become numb to the swings after a while, especially if properly bankrolled. 300BB is not a big bankroll for 5/10 6 max.
