6 months ago today, I....

1) Thought I was a great poker player
2) Played poker on my 19" CRT previously for gaming
3) Lost $100 as my "Mom" before I was 18
4) Deposited $300 when I was 18
5) Thought AJ was the best hand and equal to other broadways
6) Never read a poker book or discussed a single hand
7) Found poker fun to play
8) Had an awful job making minimum wage
9) Never finished ITM in a MTT

Since then, I...

1) Know I'm a horrible poker player
2) Purchased a DELL2001FP with winnings to 10 table
3) No longer have a horrible slave job
4) Have made way more $ in these 6 months than I did working a year
5) Folded AQ a million times more than I've played it
6) Have read 4 books
7) Discussed a few hands
8) Found poker to be boring
9) Have had great success (I run g00t) in MTT's

For the new year, I'm going to...

1) Get better
2) Make more $ in 3 months than I did the last 6
3) Read 2-3 more books (Gotta put them in my xmas list)
4) Discuss A LOT more hands
5) Hopefully have fun playing poker
6) Probably play 0 MTT's

One year ago:

-I was a marginal winner at 2/4
-I was 4 tabling with ridiculous overlap on a 15 inch monitor
-I never posted anything useful on 2+2

Today:

-I am a marginal winner at the 22s
-I am 4 tabling with no overlap on a 2001FP
-I still haven't posted anything useful on 2+2

One year ago:
-I started playing on-line poker
-I read 4 Sklansky books and thought I was a good poker player
-I thought I needed to play the higher buy-ins b/c the players at the lower buy-in sucked out too much
-I thought a bubble was a pocket of air that surfaces when I fart in the bath tub
-I thought I played tight playing Sklansky hands, but I guess I was as tight as a woman that just gave birth
-I thought I would only make one small deposit on-line and then I would be raking the money in... I deposited way more than I ever expected (but have recovered half!)
-I did not know about 2+2 even though it was on the back cover of each of the books I read... twice!

Today:
-I consider my self an ok to good poker player, but I still have a lot to learn
-I mostly read 2+2, but have also read HOH v1 and have HOH v2 ready to go
-I still play a buy-in that I am probably not ready for, although I have been winning for a short while
-I try not to pop bubbles
-I am as tight as a college girl
-I have not made a deposit since August and I hope to make a withdrawal so that I am officially break even by the end of the year!
-I have not met any 2+2ers, but I know some fairly well from posting and if I can finally make some real money I hope to meet up with you all in Vegas.
