Fold. (Did he show you KT or 9T?)

But if Straightforward/Decent knows Aggro idiot is
an aggro idiot, and str/dec is not a calling station he
would prob raise any J on the flop too..At
least a high % of time..

Which would make your river value bet less valueable
since he didnt raise, and is unlikey to have a
hand that he'll pay you off on.

So check-calling in this particular spot sounds better..
But then again Ive been playing this game all week
and cannot believe the # of people that just call
with top to bottom pair all the way.

I can't think of anything a straightforward player could be raising you with here that doesn't beat top pair with a crummy kicker. Unless he is trickier than you let on and is bluffing at the flush card with his pair of Jacks, I can't imagine that you're ahead.

I think this comes down to the read you think he has on you. The default play would be to fold, but if he thinks you're overaggressive, you could consider a call.

I folded.

Against an aggro player, I prefer check-calling, as he could raise w/ a lot of stuff and would bet a lot of hands if checked to.

Against a reasonable player, I prefer betting and folding to a raise because he'll still call w/ a Jack but would check behind and will probably only raise me w/ better hands.

Can't see how you win this one U if your read on him being straight forward is right. I almost always check/call here but you lay down hands better than me so a bet is probably +EV for u.
