Turn check line
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, SB completes, Hero raises, SB calls. Flop: (4 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls. Turn: (4 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. River: (4 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 6 BB This guy is a 37/0 who likes the odd bluff check-raise. I decided to check behind and call a river bet would be superior to having to make a laydown in a situation where hes going to bluff close to 60% of the time. |

Re: Turn check line
Hey ArturiasX -- if you really think he'll bluff that often, bet and let him bluff-raise. Just don't fold. You charge any singleton clubs and protect against 5 or 6 outers he's got.

Re: Turn check line
I think there's a good chance he has a 9 too though, which means hes probably calling down anyway. I'd like to see a showdown as cheap as possible.

Re: Turn check line
I like this because your line suggests you'll fold the river unless it's a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] so there's an extra incentive for him to fire on the river with nothing.
