5/10 6max Full throttle on a draw
Played about 100 hands at the table I'm 45/15 with 950, CO is weak and has me covered, button unknown who has only played 2 orbits nothing out of the ordinary with 900, sb is decent in position but becomes a little girl oop and has us all covered.
I have J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in BB CO open limps, button limps, sb completes, hero checks. Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Sb bets 30 (big range but seems in lots of cases he's a 1 trick pony oop if called he seems to give up a lot). I raise to 130, CO folds, button quickly cold calls, sb thinks and calls. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (pot ¬ 560) sb checks, I push for ¬800... All comments welcome Edit: turn was not a diamond! |

Re: 5/10 6max Full throttle on a draw
I like the turn push a lot. I think you win this pot right here or suckout when called enough times to make it very +EV. What do you do if a diamond falls on turn?

I like the push here. It's a very good chance at picking up the pot on a semibluff. I think only a set or 2 pair (unlikely ) wil call you here. Flush draws must fold. NH.

Re: 5/10 6max Full throttle on a draw
The only player that will call you here is the bluff police, the straight, or a set. Most likely you will win the pot without a showdown often enough to turn a profit. The suckouts are icing on the cake. My guess is he had an 8 or a small overpair. Many times your J will be live giving you 18 outs and correct odds to be all in against the bluff police. This is a move that should not be abused and you also have to play your big hands like this or people will catch on.
