Interesting flop decision, Super Tuesday

The limper is a total donk and I'm trying to isolate him. The PF 3 bettor is tough and I've seen him deep in these before.

i think you're crushed here. if he's a solid player, what is he minraising then checking? he has AA/KK/QQ here 90% of time IMO. I would take my free card and hope to improve... no other hands make sense for his minraise I think.

(Of course, I say improve, and the hand ranges I give mean that you're pretty much drawing dead unless he has AA. )

edit to add: his playing confuses me a lot with all the draws on board. i don't think a solid player would ever check here -- I dunno.

With 970 left, and a pot of 970.... you get all your chips in pronto.

You could bet 450.. but that would only be on the basis of doing it to get the rest of your chips in on the turn/river (assuming they didn't raise you up on the flop)

If you are looking for a way to get out of putting all your chips in, fold pre flop. I dont think there is much reason to put 1/4 of your stack in pre-flop with that hand, and then not follow through when you hit it as hard as you could reasonably expect.


I dont think your stack is big enough to do anything but get the money in on this board.

I would be interested to see what others (read better players) do here.. because my chips get in the middle approximately 100% of the time in this spot.

Also, if the limper is a total donk, I think you would be better off just limping pre-flop... if you hit the flop.. the donk will likely pay you off some.. and if you miss you can preserve the stack for more equitable situations.

Anybody else fold to the reraise? There's very few flops that you're going to like.

I will piggyback the last replier who says muck to the re-raise AND the call preflop. That essentially makes your call an overcall, with which you have to have a much better hand than KQo. To jeopardize a quarter of your chips to be in a situation that you have to contemplate this much AFTER you hit the flop like this means you shouldn't have been in. You could even be up against AQ (which I would be most concerned about when you spiked your Q)

You're only hitting a pair 1/3 and you are scared of most flops that do hit you. These small reraises scare the hell out of me and you dont have great implied odds if you hit your hand considering your stack.

Sure he could have AA,KK but he could also have AK,JJ.
I don't see how you could get away from the hand if a brick comes on the turn, so why wait for a scare card to come. Villain may also be raising to isolate because the midpairs aren't going to play well against two players, and also to get info because the bigger pairs will play back.

Any reasonable bet will leave you pot committed so move them in. If he does have you beat you still have ~20% equity in the pot ~T600.

Can you really fold this to a bet on the turn after getting 25% of your stack in and hitting top pair?
