someone to stake him for just the WSOP NLHE tourneys

[/ QUOTE ]

I do not think he needs a stake. He plays on PS all the time, which leads me to believe he obviously has SOME money.

I think he just doen't want to give up the money (i read somewhere it was $4m that he owes.

I read somewhere that Elvis was spotted in a supermarket 20 years after he supposedly died.

That rumour was already proven to be bs, why try to continue it? Gus only plays in the bigger buy-in events, so expect to see him at the main event.

You are free to cite a reliable source, but as long as it is something you read somewhere it has about zero value.

Paul Phillips has said something to the effect that he (Paul) doesn't want to deal with the gigantic fields. Maybe Gus feels similarly?

i think that's interesting - just because undoubtedly it's all the more dead money in the pot.

i understand it's like a mine field, but that's why (imho) you see the pros this week either going out within the first hours...or making a run at winning the thing.

the +EV in these has to be huge for the seasoned pro.

Not all players like to play all different kinds of poker games. And not all of them will feel good about a month straight of tournament play.

I don't see any reason to draw any big conclusions from who has played/not played the first events.
