here\'s a hand that i\'d like some thoughts on
final table 7 players left, everyone is in the money. blinds were 300/600+50. i'm in late position with K7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], and with about 17k in chips i'm the big stack. one limper to me, stick in a steal raise, and get called by the BB and the limper(who is 2nd in chips, about 13k).
the flop comes T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] it's checked to me and i check as well.(bad idea?) the turn is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. it's checked to me and i bet a little over half the pot. BB calls, and the limper check min-raises me. what do you think? call, fold, come over the top? i'll post results later. |

Re: here\'s a hand that i\'d like some thoughts on
Bet the flop. You're not trapping, you'd like to take down the pot now, and you have no idea what you're going to do when the turn is (insert card here) and somebody bets. Folding to a checkraise is still easy, too, as opposed to you being very screwed on this turn.
Since you got here and he can easily be playing some weird hand like 87 this way, you probably have to call this and then call any river, but you probably lost to 55. |

Re: here\'s a hand that i\'d like some thoughts on
I think putting him on 55's that quick is a bit generous.. you being the preflop raiser and not following that up with a bet on the flop probably made him think you missed completely, or maybe have an overpair... He's probably thinking that 7 is a scare card.
But anyway, i bet the flop definitely, and i call the turn miniraise, and decide wether or not to raise his bet on a river (assuming he makes it) |
