is cold-calling preflop out of the question? i've been seeing myself CC more in 6max games than in a full ring (where it's almost never), like when I have 55 in the SB. i also see more CC'ing in the middle to higher limit full ring games.

Coldcalling preflop sucks IMO. This is a hand that gets way better heads up in position with momentum.

I try this ever once in a while when I think someone is a 2+2er. Id say its worked 40-50% of the time ive tried it, though I have no stats to back that up.

No, it's a good play, it just wasn't the best time for it as there's not a lot of value in raising. I fyou think someone is takign the c/c c/c bet line, raising the river very liberally is good.

Why? Because with this line they plan to fold to a river raise? I love it! I want to raise a 2+2er on the river and laugh.
