Default Turner Gill hired as a head coach for Buffalo Bulls

web page

If you are under 30, you probably don't care, but this guy was one of the all time great option QBs. He was the general at Nebraska when Mike Rozier won the Heisman. I always looked forward to the Sunday paper so I could check the box score and see how many points and yards Nebraska rolled up.

You know, dammit, I truly miss the option I, or even better, the wishbone. As a fan, it was AWESOME to watch. Quarterbacks like Gill and Jamelle Hollieway at OK were amazing. Couldn't pass worth a damn, but this was when colleges were less 'aerial.'

I saw a story a couple of years ago about a NC HS team that ran the single wing. That much be a bitch to defend.

Oh, I live in Buffalo. UB football is teh suck. Good luck, Turner.
