Default rake of 5% no-max in NL HE

rake of 5% no-max in NL HE .

Anyone has an opinion about a game like that ? ...how good must I be ? or , how bad must they be ? to beat it ?

And I'd flat run away from asking you any questions - especially those I wanted answered.

Seriously, it is a moot point although not because you wouldn't play there.

Such a game would never last; the bad players would go broke in record time from pushing 1,000 dollar pots back and forth but only collecting 950.

If the game were a one time affair and the opposition was weak you'd do OK, especially since your results for N-L sessions are often decided by that one big pot.

Before I moved to this area I would drive here on weekends from NYC to play.

A 10% rake (max. $4), gas, meals, rooms, miscelaneous - now THAT is a rake.

And still I won a fortune - back in the days when it was common to have players at 5-10 Omaha roll there cards and announce "full house" when there was no pair on board.
