One of you will have to compare this book to the planned book by David and Ed, when it comes out this summer/fall

I can guess right now with 99% certainty which book people are going to like better. I mean, this is the 2+2 forums, isn't it? LOL.

For what it's worth, I have read 1/3 of the book so far, and it is a really good book, that I highly recommend to anyone playing nl he, or anyone that wants to play nl he.

Default mistake/typo?

Is this a mistake/typo, or am I going nuts?

From the bottom of page 73:

"There's $63 dollars in the pot (the big blind's $25, the middle position's $25, your $12, and the small blind's $1) and you must put in $13 in order to win that money. Your pot odds are $76/$13, or 5.85 to 1."

Aren't my pot odds $63/$13, or 4.85:1?

We goofed, and didn't catch it. That's an item for the 2nd printing. Thanks for pointing it out. As you noticed, it should be $63/$13, or 4.85 to 1.

I will. With a new baby coming in a month, I think reading time goes up and play time will go down (a lot).

I have three books on my summer blockbuster list - Ed's NL book, Greenstein's book, and HOH II.

5/10. It makes most of the obvious points, however I think the authors don’t fully understand the topic. Comparing their advice to GSIH should highlight some of my reservations.

Still it should help tell beginners what to do after winning their first pot

I am expecting better books covering this subject to be published within the next few months.

"I think the authors don’t fully understand the topic"

What is it, exactly, that you imagine we don't understand?

This is a very basic, non-advanced guide to beating the new rash of low-limit, fixed buy-in NL games. We never promised rocket science 101.

Most people really seem to like it, and if current sales are any indication, a LOT of people like it.
