big play at a big pot
20-40 game at west bumblef**k. Game is very loose and somewhat aggressive after the flop, but limpy whimpy before the flop. UTG limps, i limp w 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG+2 raises, there is a cold caller, and maniac in CO makes it 3 bets. One of the blinds drops and we are 5 handed for 3 bets
FLOP: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Checked to the 3bettor and he bets. The BB folds and we all call (I didnt think a raise here would get the players behind me to fold) Turn: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] checked to the 3bettor and he bets, UTG folds, I checkraise and everyone folds. 3 bettor calls River: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, he bets and i call This was a big pot, and i was trying to give myself the best chance to win it. I havent played with the 3 bettor long enough to know if he would play AK this way, but i have seen him raise quite often and rather liberalry. All comments appreciated V |

Re: big play at a big pot
why check call the river as opposed to betting out?
