You now bet during sit n goes on the flop color being all of the same color. It pays 8:1 if you hit. Im lazy what are the odds of actually hitting this ? Party poker is like the newest hustler on the block these days. [/ QUOTE ] No. It pays 8 for 1, which is actually 7 to 1. And you can't bet after you see your hole card (well you can but the bet isn't settled until the following hand. It's a sucker bet. Another fish bankroll drainer. |

I just tested this out with a $1 bet and when i hit, i got $8 back (7:1). You guys who are using probabilities have this wrong. The odds are actually 7.5:1.. I was crapping my pants at first, thinking this was an oversight on party's part, until I realized it's 8 FOR 1. BUMMMMER. odds: (52 c 3) - (26 c 3) : (26 c 3) 52 x 51 x 50/3 x 2 x 1 = 22100 total flops 26 x 25 x 24/3 x 2 x 1 = 2600 one color (red or black) flops odds: (22100-2600):2600 or 7.5:1 |

Here is party's EV for $1 wagered on red (black is the same): P(all red) = (26/52)*(25/51)*(24/50) = 2/17 = 1/8.5 Payoff: -$7 P(not all red) = 1 - P(all red) = 7.5/8.5 Payoff: +$1 EV: (1/8.5)*(-$7) + (7.5/8.5)*(+$1) = +$0.05(8823) [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Party Sidebet bar
Dear Party Poker,
Please make the new sidebet bar & the black jack link go away. I find them annoying and distracting. They also make multi-table with overlap more of a pain... |

Re: Party Sidebet bar
Party Poker's crack software development team (I have a degree in CS and work as a software developer so I can make fun of them) has made it such that by removing (or simply renaming) the image files associated with the links they no longer appear.
When you load up the table there is probably a seperate sub-function that loads the blackjack and sidebet stuff, but when it cannot find the necessary files to do so those subfunctions fail, but do not cause the main function to error out. They could have just as easily made it so that you got some generic "cannot find necessary file(s), please reinstall the software error" Other sites (Poker Stars) operate like this, which is why you can't skin Poker Stars. |

Re: Party Sidebet bar
Dear Party Poker,
Please add more buttons, sidebars, flashing lights and popups. Anything you can do to distract and put this many players on tilt will help my bottom line. |

[ QUOTE ]
35% chance you'll win with KQo in late position vs 3 opponents. [/ QUOTE ] The chances of you winning with this hand if all your opponents stay in until the river is different than the chances of winning this hand if you are able to drive out an opponent or two (perhaps holding an ace or something) with a raise or C/R. It seems that your little idea depends on everyone staying in the hand...and obviously a good player should have an advantage here in driving out their opponents. |
